SYM Attila 125 Review
SYM Atilla 125 is a classic matic motorcycle under the brand SYM featuring a 125cc engine that can deliver the best of performance and long term reliability. The Atilla 125 is loaded with distinctive features of classic design body panel with glossy paint, clear lens headlamp and tail lamp, well-proven performance engine. Currently, it is available in two variants Elizabeth and Venus and competes with models like Vespa S, Yamaha Vmax.
SYM has introduced special design features of clear lens headlamp and tail lamp and stylish indicator lamp and chrome plated ring for the headlamp and chrome plated rear view mirror. The one-piece handle with firm grip gives a pleasant experience of holding the same. The wide dual straight seat given good cushioning and the foot rest space gives accurate riding posture for easy and comfort of long time riding in traffic conditions. The dimensions of 1805mm X 655mm X 1145mm (Length X Width X Height) and ground clearance of 130mm gives comfortable riding and parking of a vehicle in narrow parking space. The ground clearance is bit short and demands cautious riding on normal road conditions.
Engine, economy and performance
This motorcycle feature single cylinder air-cooled, four-stroke engine with 125cc capacity and the power output of 8.5hp at 7500rpm and torque of 8.6Nm at 6500rpm. It’s a genuine combination power that can propel the vehicle to easily in riding at normal roads and steep gradients such as in hilly areas. In city conditions, mileage of around 50kmpl can be expected and it can extend up to 55kmpl if riding on long stretch straight roads.
The superior quality of body design features and quick responding engine can enable the rider to ride at high speeds. The alloy wheels with tyres of rating 100/90 R10 provide good grip on road offer long lasting reliability. The easy to steer handlebar enable for easy handling on narrow roads and heavy traffic conditions requiring frequent change of lines and riding on uphill tasks made easy with good torque available at the road wheels. The pillion rider position is enhanced with wide and comfortable seating and the hand grip provided on the tail lamp is handy for the pillion rider for safe seating.
Safety brakes and miscellaneous
The new design headlamp, tail lamp, an indicator with clear lens gives best of road vision in dark and catches the attention of following vehicles during taking turns with an indicator on and the tail lamp is easily visible in foggy conditions. The braking system features disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear, a smooth operation of hand lever assures safe stopping without jerks. Telescopic shock absorbers at the front and mono shock absorber at the rear gives perfect cushioning for the rider and pillion passenger by absorbing shock loads.
