Yamaha Jupiter Z1 Review
Jupiter Z1 turned the fortunes of the Yamaha motors in Indonesia. In 2015, the vehicle was relaunched with fresh styling along with some tweaks in its powertrain. The new model is the latest product of the Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing, which is the refreshed version of the previous generation of Jupiter Z1. The previous version is fitted with sports injection, and is also the winner of the National championship race in 2013.
Yamaha Jupiter Z1 is actually famous for its stylish design and specification. It consists of the all new Yamaha’s latest fuel injection technology, which results in making this moped motorcycle high in performance and fuel economic. The new generation of Jupiter Z1 is decorated with refreshed body language and smart colour contrast with newly designed stickers.
This semi moped and semi motorcycle has unique road appearance due to its stylish design. From the front portion, it has a sporty front panel that includes side indicator and the headlamp is mounted over the handle to provide ample light in the night.
Its front sharp and edgy design look aggressive, and the vehicle appears to hit the road anytime. The side profile of the vehicle is nice and the single step seat seem to look good along with its five-spoke alloy wheels. The rear portion is sleek and simple and it is decorated by the sticker. Total body measures around 1,935 mm X 680 mm X 1,065 mm (L X W X H) and it provides minimum ground clearance of 135 mm.
Engine, Economy & Performance
Under the cover, it consists a 113.7 cc engine that manages to generate 10.06 PS, and is able to generate the maximum torque of 9.9 Nm. This engine can pull the vehicle upto the top speed of 100 km/h and can get from naught to 60 km/h in between 8-10 seconds. The brand is using the latest YMJET-FI (Fuel Injection System Hallmark Yamaha Product) technology to make this moped bike high in terms of fuel efficiency and the power.
By using the latest technology of the brand, it manages to provide fuel economy around 45-50 kmpl, which makes it affordable to own this vehicle.
The manufacturers of Jupiter Z1 are famous for fabricating rider-oriented stuff, which is fun to ride and easily handled. To enhance the gripping of the vehicle, it has 70/90-17M/C 44P of tyre at the front portion, and 80/90-17M/C 44P fitted at the rear portion.
For nice handling and gripping the Yamaha uses 14-inches alloy wheels, and tyre size of 70/90 at the front and 100/70 at the rear are wrapped over it. It is easy to ride this vehicle on bumpy roads also due to its telescopic forks suspension at the front and swing arm suspension at the rear portion. The suspension set work brilliantly and absorbs maximum jerks and provides a smooth ride.
Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous
The bike is fitted with single piston hydraulic disc brake at the front and at the rear it still offers the normal drum brake. However, the combination of both the front and rear brake work perfectly even at the time of instant braking and at high speed.
