BMW R 1200 R Review
BMW R 1200 R is a series of motorcycle, which includes bikes from four different segments: sports, tourer, adventure and roadster. BMW R 1200 R has an impressive body language designed to target the youth. This machine is equipped with BMW’s 1170cc engine that is matched with a six-speed gearbox and generates 125 hp of power and 125 Nm of peak torque. The bike provides dynamic handling and efficient braking with ABS that enhanced the confidence of the rider.
BMW R 1200 R carries traits of a pure roadster in it. The front profile has a trapezoidal headlight and the bulky golden upside down forks, which cumulatively presents the perfect roadster look. The traction control system is an option feature offered by the brand, in order to optimize the handling.
This is a core naked manufactured bik from the brand, which has sharp and smart features. It carries mature body language, while the front has bold tilted headlamp and the instrument cluster is mounted over it. The side portion has a bulky fuel tank that make its ground appearance strong. Engine, Economy & Performance:
BMW R1200 gigantic power is generated from a 1,170cc, air/liquid cooled, flat twin, four-stroke engine which is matched to a 6-speed constant mesh transmission along with wet multiplate clutch assembly. The whole engine configuration churns out 125hp of power at 7,750rpm and a peak torque of 125Nm at 6,500rpm. For constant and maximum output, it is employed with an electronic fuel injection system. The powertrain has been incorporated with double overhead camshaft and a balancer shaft to enhance its performance. Despite having this much power, the bike is capable enough to offer fuel economy of 20 kmpl while riding at decent constant speed and can hit the top speed of 200 kmph.
The German manufacturer has fitted this bike with a tyre size of 120/70 R17 front and 180/55 R17 rear, which are mounted over alloy wheels. The grippy tubeless tyres offers good traction and works well on different of terrains. To offer a comfortable and stress-less ride, this machine comes fitted with dependable telescopic forks upfront and spring loaded hydraulic mono-shock at the rear that are capable to absorbs bumps over rugged terrains. For perfect riding posture the seat and the handle bar are at appropriate position, that provides stress free ride over long trip along with dynamic handling.
Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous:
BMW R1200 R comes with a bright headlight configuration that provides crystal clear view and also offers ample visibility to the rider in dark. Its braking system consists of 320 mm dual disc brakes at the front and 276 mm single disc brake at the rear. Apart from this, it also has an anti lock braking system (ABS) that enhances the braking power and mechanism.
