Engine, Economy & Performance:
The BMW K1300R consists of 1293cc, water-cooled, 4-stroke, in-line four-cylinder engine with two overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. This power unit generates monstrous 175 hp at 9,250 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. Its engine is lightning fast and responsive, which is capable of hitting the top speed of over 200 km/h. If the rider is riding the bike at three digit speed then it will give a fuel economy of 21 kmpl, and if the throttle is turned more in order to stretch the speed of the bike to 120 kmph, it will offer around 18.5 kmpl. Thus, the fuel economy goes down significantly at every massive twist of the throttle.
The bridge-type cast aluminum frame provides exceptional feedback to aid handling. The bike is fitted with central spring strut suspension at the front and rebound damping adjustable at the rear portion of the bike. To provide excellent gripping, the bike has 120/70 ZR 17 at the front portion and 180/55 ZR 17 at the rear portion of the bike. The suspension system and the tyres both combatively offers mind-boggling handling and the rider can lean down confidently.
