Benelli Seta 125 Review
If you are looking for a retro-styled scooter at an economical price, what could be better than Benelli Seta 125. It brings classic and modern design with a large baggage size, an Italian taste, attractive alloy designed wheels, LED dusky lights suited to any gender. The inclusion of rigid boxed design appeals the ever-enthusiastic and scooter-loving Indonesians.
Introduced by Benelli Motor Indonesia (BMI) as an option for users who wished for an engine with a small capacity but distinctive Italian styling at competitive prices, Seta 125 just fit in their description. With an economical price of Rp 16 million, the retro looking scooter finds a large market base in Indonesia. Faced stiff competition from other leaders of the scooter-matic segment like Yamaha Fino FI and Honda Scoopy FI, Seta 125 has tried well to make its place with its pricing and compactness.
The retro-themed scooter has not only played with the design but has also provided enough comforting features to fare it further in the queue of dependable scooters. Combining Vespa and Lambretta, the front resembles the Vespa LX 150 while the rear body curves like the Lambretta. It measures 1840 x 1150 x 690 mm (L x H x W) while the wheelbase measures 1250 mm. With the headlights equipped with a torch in the form of LEDs, the powerful view from them is further enhanced. Also, a roomy trunk space at the bottom enables people to store just enough luggage while travelling. It is available in six colours, namely black, green, white, cream, red, and blue. The easy to read panel indicators and the cute looking design would further fetch it points.
Engine, Performance and Economy:
Seta 125 comes equipped with an air automatic transmission system coupled with a 124.6 cc, 1 cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that generates a maximum power output of about 8.80 hp at 7500 rpm while a torque of 8.73 Nm at 6500 rpm is generated. It has provisions for electrically starting it up adding to the ease of use. When empty, the total weight of the scooter measures 115 kg which lies in the medium zone when compared to others. Enough power is spewed up by this scooter for moving in large cities which are plagued with congestion.
The front suspension of the scooter features a telescopic system while the rear suspension has adjustable shock absorbers fitted which improve the ride comfort. With a seat height of 750 mm, the rider feels comfortably seated and the even saddle provides enough space for two. When cornering, since the scooter is lightly weighed, it can easily be manoeuvred.
Safety, braking and miscellaneous:
The braking system is efficient with Hydraulic disc brakes at the front and mechanical drum brakes at the rear. The brakes function very smoothly and enable quick pull through any area making even the stop-go-stop ride fun.
With its unique, ‘Italiano’ type looks and a low price tag, this retro scooter will feel its existence being glorified in the times to come. In addition, the large luggage space, pretty looking LED lights, rich comfort, and enough power to gush around the populated markets. Seta 125 displays the ability to capture the stable Indonesian scooter market.
