Triumph Bonneville Review
Bonneville is the retro and classic looking bike of the Britsh brand Triumph, which is fitted with latest technology engine and features. The brand is using latest generation technology and high-performance engine because they want to offer a package of old classic styling with new generation technology.
In terms of design both the bikes carry the same old classic look by sharing the same chassis. The 865 version of the bike looks more modern due to the alloy wheels and the exhaust. Concerning about the T100, which looks more classic due to its retro classic looks that come out from the unique design exhaust and the multi-spoke wheels along with the chrome used in the engine part. Overall dimension of the 865 measures 2115 mm X 1130 mm X 790 mm (L X H X W), while the T100 dimensions are 2230 mm X 1100 mm X 740 mm (L X H X W).
Engine, Economy & Performance:
In terms of engine both the bike consists the same engine, which generates the same amount of power and torque. The brand uses 865cc Air-Cooled, DOHC, Parallel-Twin, 360 degrees Firing Interval that generates 60 hp of power and 61.1 Nm of maximum torque. After having this much of power, this engine offers decent fuel economy figure of 22 kmpl and can hit the top speed of 160 kmph.
For precise handling both the bikes are fitted with same the suspension system of KYB 41 mm Forks at the front and KYB Chromed Spring Twin Shocks With Adjustable Preload at the rear. To hold the bike weight efficiently, the brand used Tabular Steel Cradle frame that also drop positive impact on handling part. To better handling both the bikes are offered with 110/70R – 17 at the front and 130/80R – 17 at the rear portion.
Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous:
For potent braking and to control the machine efficiently both the models of Bonneville are offered with single disc brake at the front and a single disc at the rear portion of the bike. Overall the braking configuration works magnificently and keeps the bike under control even at high speed.
Both the models of this bike is are well crafted and offered with a highly capable engine in order to compete for the current generation bike. Both the models of the bike value for money and offer a decent amount of power with decent fuel economy.
