Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Review
Moto Guzzi V7 is the flagship model of the brand today. Basically, it is inspired from the perfect retro body styling and one could say that it is a duplicate of 1970s Moto Guzzi V7 Sport. The latest version of V7 has a very attractive road appearance, and one cannot take off the sight after seeing it once. Its updated version is the perfect package and it has smart looks with the latest technology, which gives the the crowd a reason to like it the most.
The all new Moto Guzzi contains traction control, ABS (anti-lock braking system) to keep the bike under control. The Italian manufacturer has also placed the engine forward than the old version, which just not increase the leg area, but also changes the central mass. The latest generation of V7 stone has a new six speed gear box with the spacing that allows the initial and the last two ratios to be reduced, decreasing the drop in rpm in between the gears.
It has a unique styling, based on the retro racing motorcycle, which is highly appreciated by the crowd. From the front, it has chrome circular headlight with basic side indicators. It has silver front forks joining with the handle bar and the two rear view mirror are fitted over it. From the side, it has a huge V-twin engine that look gigantic and the silver exhaust looks astonishing and smart. The motorcycle has dimensions that read – 2184 mm x 800 mm x 1112 mm (L x W x H), and a wheelbase of 1447mm.
Engine, Economy and Performance:
Coming over its powermill, it is occupied with 744cc V-twin cylinder four stroke four valve engine, which is able to generate 47 bhp and peak torque of 59 Nm. This old style cafe racer is able to cross the meter of 170 kmph and capable of reaching from 0-60 kmph within 5 seconds. Its engine does not feel loaded after having both the occupants, and carry the rider and pillion effortlessly.
This cafe racer styled bike has 40mm hydraulic front fork to support the bike from the front side and die cast light alloy swing arm with two shock absorber at the rear portion. The suspension unit works brilliantly and is capable of absorbing bumps efficiently. The seat of the bike is placed at a perfect position, which provide accurate riding posture and enhance the riding quality.
Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous:
For efficient braking it is fitted with 320mm stainless steel floating disc, Brembo calliper with 4 different sized opposed pistons at the front and 260 mm stainless steel disc. At the rear, it is fitted with floating caliper with two pistons. The braking system works superbly and keeps the bike under control even at the time of harsh braking.
