Moto Guzzi Audace Review
At first sight of Moto Guzzi Audace, one gets the glance of the thing which is quite familiar but still different. Guzzi has taken over the very famous California and provided it a much sportier touch by introducing the all new Audace. The Audace is light weight motorcycle with brilliant handling and at the time of acceleration and deceleration there is less lift and aquat from the shaft drive. This is a perfect cruiser bike, which is fun to ride in the city as well as on the highway.
Moto Guzzi Audace is the classic, comfortable, and a sophisticated bike due to its high quality material used and design. It is not manufactured for high speed riding but provides highly confident riding and quality. The Audace is fitted with the advanced technology, which includes ride-by-wire throttle and different riding modes to select according to the conditions.
The Audace is is a little bit more customised than the California 1400 and seems more attractive. There are a few customization also that has been done, like the chrome part has been replaced by the matte black colour, the footboards with footpegs, the bulky front forks replaced with thinner RWU versions. Overall the bike looks more aggressive and has a strong road appearance than the bike it is modified from. The side portion of the bike is very stylish and attractive due to its V-twin engine and exhaust which is also in matte black color. This properly cruiser motorcycle has dimensions that read – 2445 mm x 940 mm x 1180 mm (L x W x H).
Engine, Economy and Performance:
It is occupied with a 1380cc 90-degree V-twin engine, and to cool down this beast there is air and oil dependable cooling pump. This large capacity engine is able to exhale out 96 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 120.93 Nm of peak torque at 3000 rpm. This proper cruiser is capable of reaching the top speed of 190 kmph and able to access 60 kmph from 0 in just 4.5 seconds.
Due to its light body weight and accurate designing it offers much better handling than the other bike of its segment. It has twin shocks, which are adjustable and to offer road hugging feel it is fitted with newly designed wheels. For comfortable riding, it has wide and cushioned split seats offering nice thigh support, and it also helps the rider to ride the bike effortlessly on the long trip. The seat of the bike is placed at an accurate height which enables even the short-height rider to ride the motorcycle without feeling uncomfortable. A set of 45 mm non-adjustable forks are fitted at the front and swingarm with double shock absorber along adjustable extension is placed at the rear portion. The suspension system works properly and is capable to absorb the jerks on bumpy roads.
Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous:
For proper braking, the bike has 320mm twin stainless steel floating discs, four-piston Brembo radial caliper at the front and 282mm disc, two-piston Brembo caliper at the rear portion of the motorcycle. All over the braking configuration works efficiently and keep the bike in control at the time of sudden braking.
Moto Guzzi Audace is an affordable motorcycle, which can easily attract anyone due to its looks and features. This is a perfect cruiser motorcycle which makes monstrous sound from its V-twin engine and also provides comfortable ride due to its highly capable suspension system.
