Megelli Motard 250M Review
Megelli has been producing sports bikes since its inception at the Milan EICMA exhibition in November 2007 and now they are ready to thrill the Indonesian automotive industry by launching its fresh adventure bike Motard 250 M and promising amazing styling with a stunning performance. It has been constructed earnestly with a superb front profile incorporated with an edgy headlamp section which makes it a raw, aggressive and stripped-down adventurous motorcycle.
In terms of design, Megelli Motard 250 M is equipped with a long slender type seat along with a sleekly designed fuel tank which is painted in a fascinating color scheme to enhance the overall visual appearance of the motorcycle. At the front, it has an aggressive styling with the integration of a pointed headlamp section and a highly raised fender. It has a beautifully designed small size handlebar and clear lens indicators are fitted impressively in it. The side view shows the company insignia on its muscular fuel tank shrouds to add more contrasting appeal. At the rear, it has a high-mounted exhaust muffler that find its position just beneath the seat is one of the rarest visuals one can find in an entry-level bike in Indonesia. It also has an LED tail light along with the side indicators. So far it is one and only 250cc adventurous bike available in the country by Megelli which comes with a muscular body structure and provides an amazing all round performance. It has a length of 2050 mm with a width of 780 mm and height of 1130 mm. It has a wheelbase of 1410 mm with beautifully designed spoke alloy wheels.
Engine, Economy & Performance
Talking about the engine and performance of Megelli Motard 250 M, it has a 250cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, SOHC, single cylinder engine to develop the maximum power of 26.61 hp at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 22.3 nm at 7000 rpm that comes linked to a six-speed transmission to provide powerful acceleration and vibration free riding experience. The hydraulic multi-plate slipper clutch set-up assures that the bike does not lose revs under aggressive downshifting. The vehicle is perfectly amenable and gives a perfect off-roading confidence.
The bike moves on 100/70 R17 front and 130/70 R17 rear radial tyres with lightweight black alloy wheels. It has telescopic fork suspension at the front and mono shock suspension at the rear to offer an excellent ride quality and an uncompromising grip on both, tarmac as well as bumpy surfaces.
Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous
For satisfactory braking, the fierce stopping power is provided by a set of disc brake fitted at both ends that work well in all kind of situations without any ABS unit. All these elements make it a safe yet true show stopper material in the worldwide adventure bike segment.
