KTM RC 200 Review
KTM is one of the most popular motorcycle manufacturers of Europe and is claiming that these motorcycles are inspired from the Moto GP track and all of them carries the same DNA. KTM RC 200 is loaded with a lot of advanced technical features and specifications. KTM RC 200 has an aggressive and aerodynamic designing that looks so appealing from the outside. The vehicles come up with a powerful engine of 199.5cc, four strokes, single cylinder, liquid cooled that generates a decent amount of power of 25 hp at 10000 rpm and the peak torque of 19.2 Nm at 8000 rpm.
KTM RC series marked its entry few years back and registered respectable sales figures in the Indonesian two-wheeler market. The bike received an instantaneous attention from the youth due to its superb performance and aggressive styling. Apart from that the bike is featured with digital LCD instrument console which displays every information to the rider that includes engaged gear, fuel gauge and service reminder information.
The designing of the RC 390 and RC 200 are similar in design with some graphical and color changes. The rear view mirrors are sharply designed and are mounted on the fairing with inbuilt clear lens turn indicators. The overall length of the bike is around 1978 mm and the width is around 688 mm along with an adequate height of 1098mm. It has a high ground clearance of 157 mm and the larger wheelbase which increases the racing characteristics and handling capability of the motorcycle.
Engine, Economy and Performance:
The KTM RC 200 is powered with a powerful engine of 199.5cc, four strokes, liquid cooled, a single cylinder that churns out the maximum power of 25 hp at 10000 rpm and the peak torque of 19.2 Nm at 8000 rpm. Apart from that the bike is equipped with smooth 6-speed claw shifted transmission.
The bike is fitted with an impressive quality of upside-down WP sourced suspension setup of 43 mm inverted USD telescopic forks in front and a rear mono shock that offers superb ride quality to the rider as well as the pillion. To offer wider traction and proper grip the bike is featured with 110/70-17 mm of the front tyre and 150/60-17 mm of the rear tyre. The tyres offer ample grip and visual appeal. The WP sourced suspension setup performs equally well for the city and highway conditions and offers outstanding stability to the rider.
Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous:
KTM RC 200 is configured with advanced ABS technology that ensures the safety of any road conditions. Apart from that it also has 17inch of light alloy wheels that offers excellent grip on the road and prevents the vehicle from skidding. The bike is gifted with an effective braking system that gives the rider total control over the motorcycle. It has been fitted with a single 300mm diameter disc brake at the front and a single piston floating caliper with single 230 mm diameter brake at its rear.
The KTM RC 200 is a perfect choice for those who loves adventurous rides. KTM also claimed that the bike offers high ride quality and superb handling which is a lot different from Duke series.
