With the launch of the 250 SX-F in the motocross world, KTM has banged this segment of off-road lightweight motorcycles. The new version of this motorcycle comes with huge changes like a lighter weight, better handling, and a more responsive engine to maintain its grip over the motocross world. The current generation of this motorcycle is now offered with a four-stroke mill that makes more power than its previous version.
The latest generation of this bike is light in weight with no compromise in the quality of material used. Perfectly crafted to bang the rugged roads, it is equipped with a strong muscular suspension at the front that holds the straight handle bar with the plate mounted just below it. There is a huge gap between the front off road tyre and fender, which provides an aggressive touch to the bike. The side profile is occupied with high-performance powertrain and its fuel tank is covered with a flat seat providing the bike a tough attitude. Rear profile of the bike follows the same stance, as the rear fender is highly mounted, thus giving a huge gap between the bulky off-road tyre and the high mounted fender.
The latest generation of the KTM 250 SX-F is equipped with a 249cc single cylinder four stroke engine that is incorporated with a five-speed manual gearbox to generate an astonishing amount of power and torque. Due to its light weight and well-proportioned body structure, the bike can attain the top speed of 150 kmph and offers a respectable fuel economy of around 40 kmpl. Light weight body and a refined engine make this bike lightning fast on both on and off-road conditions.
The 250 SX-F has been equipped with potent handling characteristics that are a result of well-balanced body frame and strong suspension system. The manufacturer has fitted the bike with WP upside down forks with 300 mm of travel at the front and WP USD mono shock with 335 mm travel at the rear. Large and grippy tyres provide road hugging feel to the rider and does not let the bike get out of control even on worst riding conditions.
As this is a high performance lightweight little monster, the bike requires a strong braking configuration. As a result, it is offered with disc brakes at both the ends. This little off-road monster comes equipped with 260 mm single disc brake at the front and 220 mm single disc at the rear, which keep the bike under rider’s control. The overall braking configuration of this bike works efficiently that boosts the rider’s confidence to ride the bike without any stress.
