Engine, Economy & Performance
The ER-6N draws power from a potent 649cc, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, Parallel Twin, DOHC engine. The same engine is also used in Kawasaki sports tourer Ninja 650 and cruiser Vulcan S. The engine has the propensity to generate a maximum power of 72.1 PS made at 7500 rpm with an utmost torque value of 64 Nm made at 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with the positive neutral finder. The engine delivers a smooth, responsive performance, especially in the low and medium rpm ranges. The Vulcan S offers smooth starts from a standstill, smooth acceleration, and a satisfying pull when accelerating. The Digital Fuel Injection technology, provides the significant mileage, saving you trips to the petrol pump.
For a relaxed ergonomics and superb handling, Kawasaki has loaded the ER-6N with a plethora of novelties, to ease rider comfort. This street-fighter is based on a cutting-edge double-pipe perimeter-style, made from high-tensile steel. Thanks to the leading, 300 mm twin disc brakes port with twin-piston calipers in the front and 220 mm rear petal disc, the bike comes to a standstill at once, even on top speeds. This braking is further refined with the incorporation of a high-performance ABS unit to the package. To handle the suspension duties excellently, the bike comes integrated with a 41 mm telescopic fork at its front while Offset laydown single-shock with adjustable preload are placed at the rear end.
