Husqvarna Moto Cross FC 350 Review
Husqvarna has been consistent in introducing latest versions of dirt track bikes with superior quality and tougher performance on the track. In the latest series of bikes, it has introduced three models FC250, FC350, FC450 featuring latest technology for the engine delivering winning performance on the race track. In this bike, Husqvarna has introduced electric start, hydraulic clutch, Brembo brakes and handlebar mounted map switch as standard.
The latest version of Husqvarna Moto-Cross FC350 features a sturdy frame with high strength and light in weight. The bike is specifically designed for dirt track racing and the superior quality of body dynamics and the tough performer wheels favors the same. The dimensions of the bike include the wheelbase of 1495mm with 10mm flexibility for adjusting to given track conditions. The saddle height of 992mm and ground clearance of 375mm enable for riding over all terrains and provide flexibility for the posture of the rider in balancing the motorcycle. The Spoke wheels with stylish design of brake discs and the silence pipe passing through the underside of the seat and the body paints with a combination of yellow and white give it a bold performer image on track.
Engine, Economy and Performance
The Husqvarna FC 350 features single cylinder four stroke liquid cooled 349cc engine delivering the power of 50hp. The engine is mated to five-speed claw shifted transmission through a wet multi-disc clutch and the final drive connected to rear wheels through the chain link. The super smooth and quick accelerating engine can propel the bike to a speed of 130kmph in few seconds. The peak power is developed at around 13000rpm, there is a noticeable improvement in quickness of development of power and torque as compared to FC250. The fuel tank of capacity 7.5L and the mileage factor varies depending upon the conditions of usage and Husqvarna recommends unleaded premium fuel for better mileage and performance factors.
The quick response of the engine for acceleration inputs results in faster development of torque and give it a boost in speeding from the start of the racing. Husqvarna has used new Dunlop MX52 motocross tyres that feature extra strong buttons for better grip on slippery tracks and sharp cornering. The high torque and surge in power the engine help to get the perfect thurst for jumping during adventurous rides. The steering head angle of 63 degrees enables the rider to take sharp turns and also becomes handy while riding on slippery conditions.
Safety, braking and miscellaneous
This is a pure dirt track racing performer bike with a great combination of power and dynamics for dirt track racing where the skills of rider and the performance factors of the bike both are tested to the core. The strong and light in weight guard used for protecting the engine from underbody hit and the seat position, handlebar, rider footrest are appropriately designed for varying postures of the rider during negotiating on curves and obstacles. The control system involves the latest generation Brembo brakes with 260mm wave disc at front and 220mm wave disc at the rear. The flexibility of the fork and rear suspension and adjustability of the handlebar is handy for easy steering on varying track conditions.
