The Benelli Zenzero 150 comes with a number of features, like contemporary aggressive looking front face, 150cc engine, front and rear disc brakes, speedometer backlight, wide trunk space, bright LED lights, and a sporty looking exhaust. The inclusion of all these features enables the user to draw support in executing their daily activities with ease.
Jakarta Fair 2015 saw the launch of new products by Benelli, among the 5 new products released in the show, Zenzero 150 was from the motor scooter genre. Eyeing the potential of the two-wheeler market in Indonesia, the world automotive companies are increasing their investment in the market. The essence of Zenzero 150 is immediately recognizable owing to its appearance, also, it proves to be a perfect mate for travelling to middle length journeys or wade through the urban traffic.
When you first look at Zenzero 150, you may feel that the designers have played well with the front face with a certain degree of resemblance to a motorbike's design. It measures 1950 mm X 840 mm X 1310 mm (L X W X H) respectively while its wheelbase measures 1330 mm. The rear lights of the scooter incorporate LED lights making the electric power further efficient which glows brighter than the ordinary bulbs enhancing safe driving. Its exhaust owns a sporty and environment-friendly design with a speedo backlight panel to enhance the view of the motorists. For riders who take their vehicle to faraway lands, the motor comes equipped with a spacious luggage capacity capable of storing a helmet and several other items. Not only this, in order to increase the luggage carrying capacity, the rider’s footing area has been made wide and capable of carrying some extra luggage. Further, the moped weighs around 128 kg (when empty) adding to the manoeuvrability.
Engine, Performance and Economy:
The scooter comes with an automatic transmission system mated to a 150cc engine which gushes out an output of 8.30 kW at 8000 rpm and a torque of 6.5 Nm at 7500 rpm. This power seems enough to putter down to the market. Electrically starting this two-wheeler with just one touch will further add to the ease of use.
The suspension system is good enough and swallows several bumps on the road with the front suspension having a telescopic system and the rear featuring adjustable shock absorbers. The upright placed handlebars and adequate seat cushioning make the ride feel even more comfortable. Both the rider and the pillion feel comfortably seated over the proportionate saddle.
Safety, braking and miscellaneous:
Both the front as well as the rear wheels have a disc-braking system thus making the motorists feel safe while driving. Although front storage is missing, but the under-seat lockable trunk area is generous enough to lock away your helmet and other belongings. It feels peppier riding this bike with light and quick throttle response making the ride further effortless.
This model overall can be considered as effective, useful, and fulfilling the functional needs of the scooter riders. Its a welcome tool for those who need a vehicle, which is well-capable of performing even in congested areas, and lastly frugal considering the purchase price.
