Benelli TNT 899 Review
The Benelli TNT 899 is another mid-range performance-dedicated naked bike from the oldest Italian bike manufacturer, Benelli. The designers have sculpted this bike to feature high performance along with giving it a daring and impressive look. The bike also employs the use of carbon-fibre body material for the front mudguard and the bike has a more rugged personality as compared to the other fairing covered bikes with similar power values.
The praised Italian motorcycle manufacturer that is also the oldest Italian bike maker again flaunts the perfection of its engineering with its asset christened as Benelli TNT 899. The bike is a naked motorcycle that comes as a mid-range performance streetfighter. The bike follows the same naming pattern as its siblings, for which the TNT stands for “Tornado Naked Tre” where 'naked' is the body type and 'Tre' refers to the 'three' cylinders. With this, the '899' units resemble the engine capacity.
Sporty by face and functional by nature, the new Benelli TNT 899 is designed impeccably to fetch a stable and sporty design that looks appealing. The naked bike from Benelli is given a manly front face that is characterised by the TNT signature sharp twin headlamps that are crowned by a small face cowl and a small mudguard that fits aesthetically on the wide front tyre. The tank shrouds that holds the sharp indicators further adds a sharp aerodynamic stance to the bike. With this, the TNT “Tornado Naked Tre”, which stands for the 'naked' body type and 'three' cylinders imprinted upon the shrouds reveal the real nature of the capable streetfighter. This performance-dedicated naked streetfighter is poured in power by an 898cc, 3-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid cooled engine that is integrated with a DOHC (double overhead camshaft). This engine is pumped-up to flaunt 86.5 kW power output at 10500 rpm in coordination with a torque output of 79 Nm at 8500 rpm. This engine meshes with a 6-speed gearbox that features crisp-responsive gear transitions and avails the rider a high performance graph with competitive acceleration values.
