Lamborghini Aventador Review
'Renowned' is a word that stands low when it is used to address this Italian automaker, the legendary Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. The company's charm and popularity extends beyond all boundaries with its simply enchanting successors. One of these is the worshiped Lamborghini Aventador. The vehicle is a sports supercar whose design is inspired by the slippery aerodynamic and air-slicing design of the aircraft of the United States Military's Stealth Fighter Program namely the F-117A Nighthawk and the F-22 Raptor. The car was launched on 28 February 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show and is fitted with the real spirit of Lamborghini like the soul scissor door, handcrafted V12 engine with transparent engine cover and the carbon fibre technology.
Engine, Mileage and Variants
The irresistibly charming supercar lets you choose between three equally desirable variants namely – Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster and the newest variant Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce. The furious bull is pumped-in life by the soul V12, 6498cc MPI (Multi point Injection) aspirated and 'hand crafted' engine, which roars out with a maximum of 700 horses worth of power at 8250 rpm and a maximum torque of 690Nm at 5500 rpm for the LP 700-4 variant while the maximum power and torque values for the precisely refined and sportier Superveloce is mighty 750 CV at 8400 rpm and 690 Nm at 5500 rpm respectively. With no chains to bound the supercar its engine in coordination with the 7 speed ISR gearbox and 4WD with haldex generation IV transmission allows the car to fly and attain a speed of 100km/h from naught in just 2.9 sec for the LP 700-4 variant and one-tenth of a sec less measuring 2.8 seconds for the Superveloce variant. This engine should be praised for its incomparable performance with a combined fuel economy of 16.0 litre per 100 km.
Inspired by the design of the aircraft of the United States Military's Stealth Fighter Program namely the F-117A Nighthawk and the F-22 Raptor, the super car features a detailed aerodynamic design with pure air-bending edges. The soul lightweight body of the car is a product of the carbon fiber and aluminum integrated frames which fetches a considerable gain in its performance. The distinctive and spiritual features like the legendary scissor doors, movable 3-positions rear wing, which helps in better grip at high speeds by curving the course of air in a favorable downward direction, the side air inlets and the transparent engine cover. The arrow shaped front of the car is highlighted by the large air inlets and the angular sharp headlamps. Overall, the dimensions of Lamborghini Aventedor Superveloce measure 4835mm x 2030mm x 1136mm (L x W x H).
Every cell of the car secretes a sporty hormone, which just mesmerizes the speed loving devil in you. The perfect resemblance of the exterior design concept can be noticed in the interiors with the use of hexagon and trapezium shaped bodywork running around the cabin. Interior features like the soul red 'missile arm' toggle encasing the start/stop button, ergonomically designed control panel with the TFT display, which makes your commands work precisely and the leather covered steering wheel with 3 different Servotronic characteristics managed by drive select mode lets you feel the real essence of sportiness. The Aventador is a mean machine but we do not see the daily commuting practicality in this supercar. Or we can safely say, its that work of an art that is highly precise and its admirer are a few and only those who have the audacity to gush through the winds with a speed of teardrop falling out of your eyes can conquer the Aventador!
