Since 1999, the BMW X5 has managed to travel through countries and towns with its offbeat crossover SAV design. The bigger engine can top up the speed maximum to 250 kmph while xDrive35i is not far behind with 235 kmph.
BMW has core designing traits which can be seen on all their vehicle range. The dial houses a touch enabled pad for easy access to the desired location which now supports the handwriting also. All these things sound quite energetic and unique but one would take good time for getting used to it. The music system can rarely be called centralized because of the unmatched feature to command over it. The dashboard sports an 10.2-inch heads-up display and two rear seat entertainment screens (10 inch each) are available for your discretion.
The generous space inside the cabin is a good approach from the BMW. The boot space offered by the company is 650 liters which gets better with folded last row seat and stores 1870 liters of luggage. The second row is 40:20:40 split folding and it excretes out even more space for cargo stuff.
The BMW X5 is available with two engine options. The first one on offer is named as xDrive50i and it is configured as 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine which churns out 450 hp of power at 5500 rpm to 6000 rpm. The torque generated by the same is 650 Nm at 5500 rpm to 6000 rpm. The second engine on offer is xDrive35i with 3.0 liter 6 cylinder turbo diesel engine which develops 305 hp of power at 5800 rpm and torque worth 400 Nm at 1200 rpm to 5000 rpm. Both the engines are teamed with 8 speed automatic gear box and all wheel drive system.
For infotainment features, BMW X5 houses a 10.2-inch heads-up display and two rear seat entertainment screens (10 inch each) are available for your discretion. The music system from Bang & Olufsen is also embedded over the dash board for high end surround sound system. It is a package which contains 16 speakers with a centrally located speaker which extends automatically over the dashboard. This 1200 Watts music output is a assisted with acoustic lens technology which balances the sound quality for all the seats.
