Regal Raptor DD250E-10 Review
The Regal Raptor in Indonesia has introduced four models, each one has got the uniqueness in styling and a strong presence on the road. The other models include DD250E 9B Luxury cruiser, Bobber, Daytona DD250E-6C. The DD250E 9B feature 234cc twin cylinder engine and offer tough completion for 250cc bikes from leading two wheeler manufacturers like Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, SYM. Currently, DD250E is available in three colour variants that of Black, Red and White.
This bike feature comparatively longer wheelbase and the wide seat with a smooth flow from rear end to the front and ends near the fuel tank gives excellent ride posture. The handlebar with sleek design and the chrome plated round headlight at the middle of the fork give it a classical look and graphics gave on the fuel tank and chrome plated strips at the body lines and seat extend up to rear panel. The dimensional features include 2500mm X 900mm X 1160mm (Length X Width X Height) and the comparatively lower saddle height with a long stretch of the front foot rest offer great comfort over long rides.
Engine, Economy and Performance
This bike feature twin cylinder four stroke liquid cooled 250cc engine delivering the power of 22.8hp at 8000rpm and torque of 22Nm at 6500rpm. The engine is connected to 5-speed gearbox through hydraulic multi-plate clutch and the drive given to rear wheel through a chain drive. The fuel injection system used for fuel supply and electronic ignition for combustion for easy of starting and stopping. The quick response to the acceleration input can result in sharp increase in engine rpm and speed of the vehicle and can reach a top speed of 145kmph on standard road conditions. In city road usage one can expect a mileage of around 40kmpl and it can increase up to 45kmpl on highway riding.
The ride quality of this bike is enhanced with excellent body design and controls for the stability of high-speed riding. The excellent road grip of the wheels with 90/90 R18 size tyre for front and the rear wheels with 130/90 R13 size tyre makes it easy to steer the bike in sharp corners and slippery road conditions. The pillion rider seat is made wide and backrest support given for the passenger for excellent ride comfort over long rides. The bike is designed as a cruiser for highway riding and while riding on city roads, the rider has to be extra cautious with unplanned road humps and hollows.
Safety, Brakes and Miscellaneous
The build quality of the bike is enhanced with strong semi-double cradle type frame supported with long telescopic shock absorber connecting front wheel and handlebar and the twin shock absorber with torsion spring supported from the rear wheel bolt to middle of the frame. The long chrome plated silence pipe is given insulation for preventing accidental contact of the pillion passenger with the same. The brake system features disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear enable for safe stopping with a smooth application of front brakes through the lever and rear brakes through pedal at the right side.
This is an excellent performance bike with a blend of high power and ride stability and makes a great companion for a long ride.
