The rise in competition among the two-wheeler manufacturers in launching stylish and bikes with powerful performance has resulted in smarter bikes with a variety of features. Gazgas has captured its share of the two-wheeler market with the launch of the 150cc bike with a good combination of the performance of dirt track bike and reliability of a commuter with best of fuel economy. It competes with all 150cc bikes from leading manufacturers like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Husqvarna and Viar.
This bike designed as a blend of performance on a dirt track and a commuter motorcycle with provision for the pillion rider. The wide seat with saddle height 890mm with easy to access handlebar and control levers gives appropriate posture for the rider. The pillion rider is made flat and best suited for the young pillion riders. The dimensional features as 2075mm X 808mm X1190mm (Length X Width X Height) and wheelbase 1350mm, kerb weight of 115kg makes it easy for riding over any road conditions. The excellent ground clearance of 305mm enables the riders in negotiating road humps and hollows without causing underbody hit.
Engine, economy and performance
This bike features single cylinder four stroke air cooled petrol engine with 149cc delivering the power of 16hp at 7000rpm and 17.5Nm at 5500rpm. . The engine mated with 5-speed gearbox for variation of speed and torque according to conditions of usage. The carbureted fuel supply system and electric ignition system get easy starting and efficient combustion of the fuel giving best of fuel efficiency. In city riding conditions one can rely upon 45kmpl and in highway riding it can give 50kmpl on average. The fuel economy depends upon riding conditions and skills of the rider in negotiating with obstacles on race track
The bike is designed to perform both as a tough performer dirt track racing bike and as a commuter for long ride. The rider seat and handlebar give comfortable posture for the rider for cruising at high speed and negotiating with uneven roads and high gradient terrains. The tyres with size 70/100 R19 used for the front wheel and 90/100 R16 used for rear wheels with spokes on rims. The wider profile of the rear tyre helps for better grip on slippery road conditions and the comparatively larger front tyres connected to easy to steer handlebar makes it convenient for easy steering on any road or tracks.
Safety, brakes and miscellaneous
The reliable performance of the engine and superior dynamic balancing of the motorcycle with sleek design and lightweight features make it easier for the rider in handling the same. The safety of the rider is enhanced with disc brakes for both front and rear tyre ensuring easy operation of the brake pedal and stopping/slowing down without causing jerks. The stronger suspensions with a telescopic shock absorber for the front wheel and mono shock absorber supported with swing arm for the rear wheel.
