Karimun Wagon R GS is one of the first tall wagons, manufactured by the auto company Suzuki. Its production has been in continuous race since 1993 and has traversed generations from the first generation Wagon R launch to the latest fifth generation Wagon R. Specifically in Indonesia, this latest Wagon R is re-badged with the name Karimun Wagon R so that it suits the Indonesian Government LCGC (Low Cost Green Car) policy. Moreover, to increase the sale of this car in the country, Suzuki started producing this car locally at the Bekasi Plant.
Karimum Wagon R GS is equipped with K10B, DOHC 1.0-litre (998 cc) 12-valve engine churning out an upright power output of 67 hp at 6200 rpm along with the peak torque of 90 Nm at 3500 rpm. Packed with this engine and a 5-speed manual transmission, it takes 19.2 seconds to tick the speed mark of 100km/h from 0. The top speed of the vehicle is 135km/h. Talking about the fuel economy, it takes a consumption of around 7.1 to 7.7 litres to cover 100km distance in city. Whereas, if you are traveling on a highway it will deliver a mileage count of 5.0 to 5.6 l/100km.
