The 2015 Baleno comes powered by a 1.2-litre K-Series engine available in both gasoline and Diesel variants along with DDiS DOHC motors. The petrol engine is very responsive and the delivery gets linear with 84hp of maximum power. The 1.3-liter Ddis diesel engine churns out a maximum power of 75 hp as the VGT is not available in the DdiS unit.

The same 75bhp unit powering train can be found in the Swift but the Baleno turns out to be 100kg lighter, making it more quick and responsive.
