Infiniti, the luxury car manufacturing division of the Japanese automaker Nissan started selling back in the year 1989 when it only covered North American market. Talking about its current status, Infiniti network currently includes as many as 230 dealers residing in more than 15 countries. As for the Indonesian market, the brand was introduced only a few years back and as for the moment houses 5 cars under its shed, one of which is the recently launched sport utility vehicle, QX80.

Exterior

As mentioned above, QX80 is a sport utility vehicle, so you can expect a big masculine monster. But before discussing its physical characteristics, we’ll talk about its aerodynamic attributes. QX80 is designed in a way that both its upper and lower body directs the airflow over, under and above the vehicle, thus giving it zero-lift aerodynamic. Now coming to its exterior profile, the front is studded with automatic on/off LED headlights with highbeam assist and LED daytime running lights, large rectangular honeycomb grille and integrated front LED foglamps. Moving to its side profile, it gets LED turn signals, body-color running boards with high-mounted stoplights, and side air-vents. Lastly, its rear end is no less than the previous two fronts and get working amenities like rear spoiler, rear window intermittent wiper with defrost timer and a stainless steel bumper. To top it all, this mean machine comes covered in scratch shield paint, keeping its beauty intact forever.

Engine, Mileage and Variant

Infiniti QX80 does not have a sibling to accompany it, the car is offered in a single variant only. This only child houses a giant under its smooth hood, whose configuration reads as 5.6L 32-valve V8 DOHC, aluminium-alloy block and head. Further, this block produces 405 hp at 5,800 rpm of maximum power along with a peak torque capacity of 560 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Also, with its electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission, this car is capable of reaching 0 to 100 km/h mark in just 6.8 seconds after achieving the top speed of 210km/h.

Interior

At last, the area that matters the most, luxury, comfort and convenience. First talking about its driver's arena, it gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel with wood trim, fine vision electroluminescent gauge, power tilt and telescopic steering column, Infiniti controller for audio, fuel economy, climate control, and other comforting features, 10-way power driver's seat and steering mounted switches for safety shield technologies. Coming to occupants comfort, this car comes stuffed with semi-aniline leather seats that are equipped with climate-control and 2-way power lumbar support system, and 2nd row with remote tip-up for easy entry and exit into the third row. Taking care of occupants’ entertainment needs are present features like Bose Cabin Surround Sound System, 100GB Music Box, USB connection for iPod, and Dual 7-inch color monitor mounted on headrest with digital quality wireless headphones.

Safety

Luxury brands never portray a weak safety front and keeping this tradition intact is Infiniti. All of its cars are jam-packed with the latest and most efficient safety gadgets that give full protection to the driver and his family. To the long list of its safety features are included Vehicle Immobilizer with Vehicle Security System, ABS with BA and EBD, Front-seat Active Head Restraints and Seat Pre-Crash Seat Belt. On the airbag front are present driver and front passenger, side-impact supplement, and roof-mounted curtain side impact airbag. In addition are present passive safety feature like  Distance Control Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Vehicle Dynamic Control System and Auto Hazard Warning Signal.
