This engine capacity give maximum power output of 118 PS at 6600 rpm along with the high maximum starting torque measuring 146 Nm at 4800 rpm. This has got further support of 5-Speed Automatic Transmission to provide maximum energy and flexible driving, although the complete absence of Manual Transmission might disappoint a few. Mileage and Fuel economy
With the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol unit mated with automatic transmission Freed gives an average mileage of 11.2 km/l if driven under standard conditions. These figures are quite impressive keeping it mind that we are talking about a muscular MPV. The credits to these impressive figures goes to the i-VTEC technology which delivers improved mileage, acceleration and overall performance.
More than just style and comfort, the Freed carries a powerful 1.5-litre i-VTEC 4 cylinder, 16 valve SOHC engine (coupled with i-VTEC, DBW and torque boost resonator) provides the driver with decent amount of power that for a thoroughly satisfying drive wherever you go. It produces 118 PS at 6600 rpm along with the high torque of 146 Nm at 4800 rpm through its enlarged intake valve diameter and torque boost resonator.

The new Honda Freed is more stylish, with improved aesthetics and functional enhancements. The redesigned exterior structure of this MPV makes it compact yet somehow a more spacious MPV. Freed is a seamless combination of flowing aerodynamics and space. Its stylish front bumper and chrome grille dominate the front with smooth contours for enhanced aerodynamics. Halogen projector headlights give Freed a subtle wind swept look while providing better visibility at night. On the side an offbeat sliding profile is given to provide easy entry to its 2-row and 3-row seat passengers. One step floor design, easy to reach door handle and adjustable door opening steps render ease of access maintaining security. The length of Honda Freed stands at 4215 mm, width as 1700 mm and height remains 1740 mm. The wheelbase measures 2740 mm, which corresponds to ample legroom in all the three rows. The ground clearance for MPV is 170 mm. The front tread is 1478 mm while the rear is of measurement 1466 mm.

Freed has so much to offer in terms of cabin and cargo space, with third row seats down. With all seats up however, Honda Freed offers a boot space measuring 142-litres which is comparatively very less for your belongings and luggage. This space can be further expanded with foldable 3rd row seat which can be easily folded in just 3 steps. This is further supported by flat floor and flat roof design of this MPV expanding the boot space to 672-litres.

This compact mini MPV from Honda is powered with 1.5-litre, SOHC i-VTEC, 4-cylinders in line with 16-valves improvised with DBW (Drive by Wire) technology and Torque Boost Resonator which is good up to churn out maximum power output of 118 PS at 6600 rpm along with a decently high torque of 146 Nm at 4800 rpm. The 1.5-litre engine power is further increased by 5-speed Automatic transmission.
Stereo and Accessories
Coming to the entertainment segment fitted in Freed, the cabin is provided with 4 speaker system for giving audible sound output. Freed doesn't facilitate a boastful amount of stereo functions in this vehicle but yes the center of the dashboard houses a double DIN radio and CD player integrated audio system. It also comes equipped with a USB and Aux Jack for external music sources (iPod or MP3 Player). The top variant Honda Freed E employs a 6.1 inch touchscreen monitor in addition to basic accessories appointed on the base variants.
To add on to its elegance factor, it is outfitted with 15-inch rims with the complete tyre size 185/65 R15 for all the three variants. The solid rim material differs for the variants; Honda Freed A comes with steel made 15-inch rim while the other two Freed S and Freed E are made of solid alloy metal rim of same dimensions.
Braking and Handling

The automatic sliding doors equipped with anti-pinch sensors prevent reverse closing of the door when an obstacle is detected. For stable driving around corners and also for traversing hills, shift hold control system helps you to assist. The seats are fixed with pre-tensioners with load limiter seatbelt to avoid jitters on uneven roads.
