Indian Classic Review
US based company Indian Motorcycles launched its thrilling and stunning cruiser bike named as Indian Classic to improve the uncompromised cruiser bike experience. The cruiser is equipped with a strong 1811cc liquid-cooled mill to exhale a huge amount of power. It comes equipped with some advanced features which makes it one of the best players among the Indonesian cruiser bike segment with three different riding modes: Street, Rain and Road. The body frame, suspension, chassis, and tyres all the elements are engineered to provide a light, confident and superb cruising experience.
Indian Classic comes with an astonishing and extravagant design scheme. It includes classic proportion and clean, straightforward lines along with the cruiser handlebar. The front body profile receives a huge front fairing with a bright three-eyed xenon headlamp section and side indicators. The silver chromed rear view mirrors do add a lot of character and appeal to the bike which looks premium. The 20.8 litres fuel tank is chiseled nicely with impressive curvy detailings and the company insignia. At the rear, it has a dual exhaust pipe and an LED tail light that has side indicators with it. In regards to dimension, it has a length of 2634 mm with a width of 1012 mm and height of 1490mm weighing 354 kg with 1730 mm of wheelbase and 140 mm of ground clearance.
Engine, Economy & Performance
Talking about its engine and performance, the Classic has a high-end designed 1811cc, v-twin cylinder, four-stroke engine that is linked to a six-speed cruise drive transmission to develop the maximum power of 75.9 hp at 4300 rpm and a peak torque of 138.9 nm at 2600 rpm. It also has a closed loop fuel injection system which delivers fuel to this beast and ensures a superb throttle response with an uninterrupted power delivery. The power mill contributes a decent combined fuel economy of 16 kmpl with a top speed of 183 kmph.
The US-based manufacturer has used telescopic suspension at the front and single shock suspension at the rear to deliver a smooth, comfortable and handy ride. Both the front and rear suspensions are slammed down to their limits which give the bike a low-slung seat height. Furthermore, the bike moves on a 130/90 R16 front and 180/65 R16 rear tyres with beautifully designed spoke cast aluminium alloy wheels.
Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous
For satisfactory braking, Indian Classis has been blessed with a set of the disc brake at both ends with a powerful integrated ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) unit that steps up the braking of the cruiser to another level by providing an impressive and excellent lock in case of any emergency situation. The bike is available in only one color scheme, that is Red. Other than these features it also has some advanced safety features like RDC (Tyre Pressure Control System), HSC (Hill Start Control) with stability, traction and launch control option.
Indian Classic has many safety and convenience features that one need in a classy cruiser. So far it's an awesome muscle-bound vehicle which is born to perform with an 111 cubic inch Thunder Stroke engine that is simply a joy - to look at and to listen to.
